Classical massage

The western massage technique. Using mechanical pressure on the body, the whole body’s metabolism and inner life force is stimulated. Skin and cell metabolism, blood and lymph flow, blood circulation to the muscles and the formation of joint fluid are induced. The elasticity of ligaments and tendons is improved and muscular imbalances are harmonized. This leads to pain relief, reduction of heart rate and a general relaxation and well-being.  Recommended especially when suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, circulatory or metabolic disorders, muscular tension, rheumatism, paralysis and sleeping disorders.

Ayurveda ABHYANGA Massage

Using warm oil infused with botanicals, this traditional indian massage form is relaxing, rejuvenating and balances the three Doshas (body types according to the Ayurveda). The Energie points (Marmas) and Energy canals (Nadis) are stimulated so that the Bodys own healing force and vitality is activated. The botanical oil nourishes and rejuvenates the tissues.

Lomi-Lomi-Nui

The traditional Hawaiian massage was originally practiced only in the Temples by the Kahuna masters. The massage works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes, using oil and the practitioner’s body weight, allowing the recipient to relax and give in to the nurturing touch. The belief behind this ancestral massage is that memories are not just stored in the brain and mind, but also in every cell of the human body. With help of the continuous strokes of the massage the body is called to let go of its old patterns and behaviours, stresses and strains and tension. A deeply relaxing and restorative oil massage that endures healing for the body, soul and mind.

Shiatsu

The Japanese form of bodywork based on the classical theories of Chinese Medicine works effectively  to balance the Qi flow (the vital energy flow) in the body. Using nurturing touch and activating pressure points the Qi flow is encouraged to move freely through the the Meridians (energy channels) the vital organs and the whole of the body inducing the body’s own (natural) healing response.
